These drivers are always on standby, ready to take you wherever you need to go, no matter what time it is.  Being self employed, they work the hours that suits their individual business.  You will notice times when there are fewer cars available because they are busy with advance bookings, or resting for their next shift.   Please keep visiting.

You simply download (one time only) and set up an account. A valid bank card may be required to make a booking.  This is to ensure you have the funds to pay for the ride.  Unfortunately, in the past passengers have booked several companies and got in the first one that arrived and some people just didn't pay.

You must choose your preferred taxi group of drivers, or business if that's listed.  For example, In Ripon you choose Ripon Drivers.  This is to ensure you get drivers that normally work in Ripon and not elsewhere. If you dont mind who takes you, still choose one and later you can simply tick any driver when making each booking.

When you go to a different town, for example Selby where Ripon drivers wont work, you simply put a tick in the box "Any Driver" and the system will search for any driver on the Yorkshire Cabs Network.

If you are staying in another town for a while, or have moved home.  You can go into your profile and change the preferred driver group to use the local drivers there.  In this example, you choose Selby Drivers.

Booking a ride is easy.

You simply enter your requirements and you'll be shown an estimated price based on vehicle required.  Choose your vehicle and a message will be sent to the drivers to see if they can do it.

When you are given an estimate, There is an option to choose "Any driver" in the network.

This is used when when your preferred driver choice cannot carry out your journey.   

This will save you phoning round the many different businesses to find a driver.  

When using Any driver option  the price could vary because some other driver groups may have their own pricing.  This will NEVER be above what the local council allows.

You will have a contract between yourselves if the driver accepts your journey.  You can also track your driver in real-time and receive notifications when they're approaching your pickup location.

We believe that everyone should have their journey at a fair price. That's why our prices are based on the local authority taxi tariff.  

  Some prices may vary between driver groups for certain journeys.  This is due to special offers.  The prices will NEVER be above the council tariffs.  The prices will NEVER surge up when times are busy.

The passenger is to check the vehicle is the correct vehicle by checking the car is the correct make and colour, has the correct authority licence plate and correct car registration.  The passenger should check the driver is the correct driver and that the driver has the correct licence badge.  If the passenger suspects or finds that any of these are incorrect or not available, the passenger must not to enter the vehicle and is to report all findings immediately to the Police. 

Relax and enjoy your journey with drivers that are registered with your local council.  These drivers have met ALL the requirements to be an official taxi or Hackney Carriage driver in  your council area. If in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the service of the driver, you must report this to your local Council office.
