There are 2 ways.
1. The default method is an estimated price based on N.Yorkshire council tariff. Calculated by amount of passengers, time of day and mileage the system calculates the route will be.
2. If you register your own business/group of drivers you can set your own prices within their council legal pricing limits..
Drivers joining now will be waived the set up fee and have their first month free. Then it'll be £5 (plus VAT) per week (or part of 1 week) then every following week to remain registered on the driver app.
Starting in a few months, each job will incur a 5% donation to the local charity/project fund.
For drivers starting later. These will have a set up fee of £30 then be charged £9 (plus VAT) per week (or part of 1 week) then every following week to remain registered on the driver app.
Starting in a few months, each job will incur a 5% donation to the local charity/project fund.
These prices may change.
When a driver misses any payment, the driver will need to register again.
No. You are limited to the area that you are licenced, and registered with on the system.
The customer will initially choose their preferred town or business, and this doesn't matter where the driver is when the passenger makes the request. If their choice cannot cover this, then they can opt for any driver. This driver must still be licenced by an authority that Yorkshire cabs app permits, and it is the drivers responsibility to ensure what they do is legal.
Yes. You need to promote that your business or driver group can be booked by selecting it on this app.
If you don't, you wont get as many customers as those that do.
No, Yorkshire Cabs does not own or hire any vehicles for itself. You are the taxi, taxicab or hackney licenced business. We are offering you a way to book and receive work from your customers online. This is an add on to your existing business. We supply this software so that you can work with other likeminded taxi operators.
Correct, you don't need this and I've heard this many times. Unfortunately, passengers are gradually moving over to apps for everything. If you don't have this option you are definitely missing out on more income, and you will also gradually lose some of your existing customers. Think about it, this is how these big companies are growing fast and taking over, so why think that it wouldn't benefit you.
Not if you run your business well. Promote your business well enough, teach your customers and always have enough cars to cover your work. Then your customer wont ask another business. Exactly the same as taking phone bookings.
If you cant cover the job to the passengers expectations, the customer can try someone else. But instead of phoning around, they search again by requesting for nearest available within the network. (ticking any driver option) This is better than them using another app and encourage them to stay with you for the future jobs.
when you sign in for your shift, it will ask which of the 2 vehicles you are driving. This does not cost any more,
If you have a business that has several drivers and several vehicles. The driver app will ask when logging in to select the relevant vehicle.
