There are 2 ways.
1. The default method is an estimated price based on your council tariff. Calculated by amount of passengers, time of day and mileage the system calculates the route will be.
2. If you register your own business/group of drivers you can set your own prices within their council legal pricing limits..
Those that join before the system is comfortably running will be waived the set up fee and have their first month free. Then it'll be £12.50 per week for your customers to be able to connect to you.
For those starting later will have a set up fee of £30 then be charged £19 per week.
These prices may change.
No. You are limited to the area that you are licenced, and registered with on the system.
The customer will initially choose their preferred town or business, and this doesn't matter where the driver is. If their choice cannot cover this, then they can opt for any driver. This driver must still be licenced by the council in the passengers pick up area.
Yes, you need to promote that your business can be booked by selecting your group/business in the network. If you don't, you wont get as many customers as those that do. Doing this may also persuade them from using others on the network, and from using other well known apps, for example Uber.
No, Yorkshire Cabs does not own or hire any vehicles for itself. You are the taxi, taxicab or hackney licenced business. We are offering you a way to book and receive work from your customers online. This is an add on to your existing business.
Correct, you don't need this and I've heard this many times. Unfortunately, passengers are gradually moving over to apps for everything. If you don't have this option you are definitely missing out on more income, and you will also gradually lose some of your existing customers. Think about it, this is how these big companies are growing fast and taking over, so why think that it wouldn't benefit you.
Not if you run your business well. Promote your business well enough, teach your customers how to work it and always have enough cars to cover your work. Then your customer wont ask another driver.
If you cant cover the job to the passengers expectations, the customer can try someone else. But instead of phoning around, they search again by requesting for nearest available within the network. This should put them off using another app and encourage them to stay with you for the future jobs.
when you sign in for your shift, it will ask which of the 2 vehicles you are driving.
If you have a business that has several drivers and several vehicles. The driver app will ask when logging in to select the relevant vehicle.
